Named after the famous wildlife story writer, Jim Corbett, The Corbett National Park is one of the most famous and oldest parks in the country. Founded in the year 1936, this wildlife park is located at the foothills of the Himalayas. The sanctuary is famous for its Bengal tigers. The park is a large one and is divided into five zones. Only one zone, Jhirna, is open all year round. The rest of the park isn't open to visitors during monsoon.
Home to the Royal Bengal tiger, Estuarine crocodile, Ganges river dolphin and many more endangered species, Sundarban National Park is the largest contiguous mangrove forest in the world. It measures approx 10,000 sq km in area. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site inscribed in 1987.
Ranthambore National Park was a former royal hunting ground. Home to tigers, leopards, nilgai, hyena, wild boar, sambar, marsh crocodiles and the imposing 10th century Ranthambore Fort. The Pada, Talao Lake found in the park is known for its beautiful water Lillies. The National Park is located just 180 km away from Jaipur in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. The park offers an incredible experience of nature and wildlife.
